Decatur Electronics Recycling

Decatur's Electronics Recycling Day is nearly upon us!

Who: You! (or anyone equally as enthusiastic or even mildly interested in recycling)

What: Recycling for almost all electronics and batteries. For a complete list check out the website at http://www.decaturga.com/index.aspx?page=138.

When: October 29, 2011, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Decatur High School Parking lot (corner of McDonough and Howard)

Why (the most important part): Electronics often have potentially hazardous materials (lead, mercury, etc.), making them some of the most important items to keep out of a landfill.

We will take a small volume of small electronics over from the sustainability office should you need help transporting any smaller items. Don’t hang out in Decatur on Saturday mornings? I can also help you locate electronics recycling in your area. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email sustainability@agnesscott.edu!
